June 20, 2013. The two great saints, Pope Kyrillos VI and Archdeacon Habib Girgis, were canonized by the Holy Synod under the leadership of His Holiness Pope Tawadros the II.
June 21, 2013. By the grace of God, two brothers who were overjoyed by the recent news happened to meet and the seed was planted for the new church in Northern Bergen County, New Jersey to serve hundreds of people in this area. The idea was presented to His Grace Bishop David, papal deputy for North America at that time, who presented great leadership and support to the newly formed board.
Febuary 21, 2014. Through the prayers of the Bergen County Coptic congregation and with the great help of Fr. Seraphim El Soriany, now HG Bishop Seraphim, His Holiness Pope Tawadros the II officially approved the newly formed Coptic Orthodox Church of Pope Kyrillos VI and Archdeacon Habib Girgis in Northern Bergen County, New Jersey.
March 9, 2014. The first official liturgy was held at the Hilton Woodcliff Lake in Montvale, New Jersey with hundreds in attendance. Since then, we have watched our gracious Lord working for the growth of His Church.
February, 2018. By God’s grace we bought a new church in Washington Township, Northern Bergen County, New Jersey.
